First, let us state the obvious… It’s. About. Damn. Time!!!

Nick and Megan grew up in close proximity to one another sharing the same Elementary, Middle, and High School in their hometown of Aston, PA. Throughout these several years they always knew of each other via mutual friends, but it was not until the beginning of the summer in 2015 when Nick gathered the courage to reach out to Megan. This summer was filled with countless shared memories, laughter, and love. Little did they know it was only the beginning of an unexplainably special life long bond. On August 4^th of 2015, sitting at the top of a waterfall in their hometown, Nick “played it cool” while very obviously nervous and said “Well, I’m hoping this year to have my girlfriend at my hockey games… so will you be my girlfriend?” That was Megan’s first easy yes.

The end of that summer Nick entered his senior year at Sun Valley while Megan entered her junior year. The 2015-2016 school year was spent soaking up all the fun high school has to offer like going to their good friend Austin’s Halloween party, participating in the infamous volleyball marathon (which Nicks team won 2 years in a row…if you know Nick you know we can’t leave that part out), and attending each other’s junior and senior proms.

After high school Nick pursued his lifelong passion for hockey, which led him to Cleveland, Ohio. This would be the first of five years of long distance for Nick and Megan. Nicks hockey journey eventually led him to spending the next 4 years at the University of Massachusetts Boston obtaining his Bachelor’s degree while simultaneously living out his dreams and playing on their ice hockey team. Megan spent this time working as an EMT and focusing on school. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree at Widener University and began her career as a Sonographer at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Despite the distance, their love only grew stronger as they navigated the challenges of being hundreds of miles apart. Nick and Megan learned to find an appreciation for the distance and the strength it brought to their relationship. Distance wasn’t easy. There were plenty of tears shed, holidays, birthdays, and celebrations spent apart, but it taught them to communicate effectively and to make the most out of the little moments they did have together.

Finally, in May of 2023 Nick graduated college and they bid a farewell to the trials of long distance. Nick moved back home into Megan’s mom and stepdads house where they both saved up money for their future together. On December 16^th, 2023 Nick popped the question while surrounded by Christmas lights and hidden photographer friends (Sultan & Nigel) at Longwood Gardens. This would be the second easiest yes for Megan. The rest of this perfect night was spent celebrating the beginning of their forever surrounded by as many close family and friends that could possibly fit into one home (both have huge immediate families).

Shortly after getting engaged, Nick and Megan’s years of hard work paid off and with the support of family and friends every step of the way, they were able to purchase their first home together on January 4^th 2024. Although Nick and Megan loved spending time in their new home together, something still felt like it was missing. On January 26^th 2024 they welcomed their fur baby, Benny, home. An Australian Shepherd with lots of personality, cuteness, and energy to bring even more life and joy into their, now complete, home.
